Vintage Sewing Patterns on Fabric...
I found these three fabrics when I went to the quilt meeting a couple weeks ago. Now I am trying to figure out the what to make with them; such a fun 'dilemma'! I don't want to cut them up in small pieces...
Any ideas? :-)

Perfect Aim
I've been fascinated with history since I was young, and WWII is one era that I find especially interesting. I recently saw this video on a friend's bog and loved it! It is about an 86 year old man who was a sniper in WWII. The thing I love about this clip is the respect and honor the young army snipers have for this gentleman. :)

Certain!
"I am quite certain that, if God had not chosen me, I should never have chosen Him; and I am sure He chose me before I was born, or else He never would have chosen me afterwards; and He must have elected me for reasons unknown to me, for I never could find any reason in myself why He should have looked upon me with special love."
~ C.H. Spurgeon (1834 - 1892)
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit..."

A Busy Saturday...
In the morning I went to a quilt club meeting with two friends from church, Mrs. D. and Mrs. T.
The lady at the quilt store showed the latest fabrics, patterns etc.and then there was a show and tell time.
Pretty!
Mrs. D. (on the left) showed a quilt she made for her grandson.
After the meeting we looked around at the fabric and I found some with vintage sewing patterns on it! So cute!
Then we walked over to The Gathering Grounds and had lunch together. :)
What should we choose? (Mrs. D. is on the left and Mrs. T. is on the far right edge.)
Mrs. D. and I split this wrap that was filled with chicken, feta, slivered almonds, cranberries, and lettuce. It was very good! We three had a fun time together. :) On the way home Mrs. T gave me a tour of their greenhouses - it was so fun to see flowers in bloom! (And I completely forgot to take any pictures.) When I got home Amy and I made lasagna for company tomorrow while Ana made cookies and muffins. Then I went through some things in the back porch - I was tired but it was a fun productive day! My favorite kind.
A Visit With Dear Friends!
The V family came for supper and the evening and we so enjoyed our time with them!!
Amy V. wanted to try milking the goats...we all had fun in the barn!
