Fresh Butter!

Saturday, I skimmed the cream off the milk for Mom, who was going to make mozzarella cheese.  What does one do with an abundance of cream?   Why, make butter of course!
So I did, and ended up with1 pound.  =)
Delicious!

This is very cool. I have not left a comment before but I have been following for a while and have been enjoying your blog.

I have a question for you, with your Etsy shop you have a picture with a Bible verse on it for $15 and I was wondering if you are able to really sell that or if it dose not realy sell?

Hi Samantha!
We just listed the print (http://www.etsy.com/listing/67010105/delightful-carnation-with-scripture-8-x) this past weekend, so I can't answer your question very well yet! If you search for '8x10 photos' on Etsy you will see a large range of prices.
I hope this helps some!

How delightful! I bet homemade mozzarella tastes amazingly good! ;) Mm, I love making homemade butter too (though I don't do it often!). It was very resourceful of you to think of making the butter with the leftover cream! :D And now you have two special things that you've made with your hands. :)

Blessings and Hugs!

I wish I could taste your homemade butter and mozzarella cheese! Did Mrs. McFarland ever contact you? She was looking for someone who made their own cheese. If not, I can give you her email.
I love the new look of your blog! Beautiful, but crisp and clean, yet the deep colors are so warm! I also love your pink dress. The white sweater goes beautifully. Have you tried different shoes with it--I think a simple black pump might look nice (especially with a black bolero)!
Hope your family's doing well!
Love,
Mrs. Gunn
P.S. Could you ask Amy if I could have Scripture added to the sunset 8x10?? Don't want to be difficult, though.
Thank you for asking for me!

Hello Mrs. Gunn! Well, I think you have tasted the cheese at least. :) (The butter goes really quickly around here!) We've gotten some general emails from Mrs. McFarland about cheese making.

Oh, thank you! I love how the pictures stand out against the dark background! :)

No, I just slipped in the white shoes for the picture! I'm keeping my eye out for black shoes though, that look old-fashioned... and that are not TOO expensive! Any ideas?

Amy already ordered the picture, and has it here for you. If you want to wait until she orders again sometime then it could work to add scripture to the sunset photo. Let us know!

Love and hugs,
Alyssa
