Mom and I took a different way home the other day from a meeting, and I couldn't resist pulling over and taking this picture. I love back roads! Mom noticed that the trees almost form a heart.

VBS
Last week was Vacation Bible School at our church.
Ana and I were assistant teachers and I also took pictures and video for a slide show that was shown Sunday. :)
Bethany's 'treasure box'. :)
Reviewing our Bible verses.
Craft Time!
The children enjoyed making these woolly sheep! (Although their 'wool' is really made of cotton..)
Mrs. D and Mrs T. <3
Several of the children were all excited to get their Bible verse memorized each day, and they all got along well which was a blessing. :) It was a busy week!, but we enjoyed working with the children and the other teachers.

Antique Store!
The other day Mom, Ana, and I went to the small town near us to mail a package. Afterwards we stopped at the antique store and had fun browsing among all the old things. Antique stores are like museums, only better, because you have the option to buy the item you are looking at! :)
Calling cards
BOOKS!!
I liked the words on this pitcher:
"Trust in God.
The husbandman's diligence provides bread."

True Success
"There are many kinds of success in life worth having. It is exceedingly interesting and attractive to be a successful business man, or railroad man, or farmer, or a successful lawyer or doctor; or a writer, or a President, or a ranchman, or the colonel of a fighting regiment, or to kill grizzly bears and lions. But for unflagging interest and enjoyment, a household of children, if things go reasonably well, certainly makes all other forms of success and achievement lose their importance by comparison."

June Sunday Evening Fellowship
One Sunday evening a month the people from our church gather at one family's home and sing, share Bible verses, and then have a snack. It's a fun time of fellowship! This month it was at the home of Dr. R. a retired trauma doctor.
For the majority of the time Amy and Mrs. C. took turns playing the piano...but near the end Dr.R. played the piano and we all sang certain songs he had selected.
Singing!
The yummy 'lunch' - what they call a snack around here!
Mr. L dishing up ice cream - his favorite!
Beautiful sunset over one of the lakes on our way home. (Taken through the van window.) :)
