Glory to God, Peace to Man

A Savior Is Born! Glory to God, Peace to Man

We listened to this amazing sermon by John Piper yesterday.  It is one that is worth listening to any day of the year! (Click on the title above to go to the website where you can watch/listen to the sermon.) :)

"Continually cultivate a sense of amazement that in spite of all your sins God has forgiven you through Christ. Be amazed that you have peace with God. It’s this sense of amazement, that I, a sinner, have peace with God, that makes the heart tender, kind and forgiving."
~ John Piper

Merry Christmas!

Saturday was the W. family Christmas celebration at Uncle David's!

I enjoyed holding my cousin's youngest son, Teddy.

 Amy and Walter!

Kristen handing out the gifts.

All the great-grandchildren with Dad's mom.
Getting them all in one picture, sitting relativly still, was quite a funny experience! :D

Christmas at Uncle David's

This past Sunday, Dad, Ana, and I made the 3 1/2 hour drive to Dad's older brother's home for the W. family Christmas!
There was a LOT of delicious food!

Me with my cousin Megan. :)

 Nathaniel :)

Nora, my cousin Andy's youngest daughter.
We were trying to get her to smile for a picture and she gave us this super serious face instead!! :D She is such a easy going little one and fun to hold!

 Doing puzzles

Uncle Harold brought his guitar along and we sang Christmas songs/hymns and some kid's songs (The Eency Weency Spider, The Wheels on the Bus...etc.)  It was a fun time!

Our Family Christmas

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name call Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins." ~ Matthew 1:21
'Willie' resting by the Christmas tree.
Christmas Eve we watched "It's a Wonderful Life" and an old VHS of Christmas music. On Christmas day (later in the afternoon), we opened presents. :)  It was a fun time together!  I am so thankful for the greatest gift of all, the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ!
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. ~ Luke 2:11

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
~ John 1:14

O Sing a song!

 Picture from Allposters

"O sing a song of Bethlehem,
Of shepherds watching there,
And of the news that came to them
From angels in the air:
The light that shone on Bethlehem
Fills all the world today;
Of Jesus' birth and peace on earth
The angels sing alway."
